Tithe Barn Primary School works in partnership & co-production with parents and carers. Therefore, if you ever have a worry or concern in relation to your child please do not hesitate to share it with us. It is important to us that we work with you to resolve the matter.

Feedback is always important to us because it is how we can work to improve our school and practices.

The difference between a concern and a complaint

A concern may be defined as ‘an expression of worry or doubt over an issue considered to be important for which reassurances are sought’.

A complaint may be defined as ‘an expression of dissatisfaction however made, about actions taken or a lack of action’.

It is in everyone’s interest that concerns and complaints are resolved at the earliest possible stage. Many issues can be resolved informally, without the need to use the formal stages of the complaint procedure.

We would like to reassure parents/carers that our nursery school takes concerns seriously and will make every effort to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

Please contact our school office if you have a concern or worry in relation to your child.  A member of our school office team will listen to you and ask the appropriate member of staff to contact you.

If you would like the Headteacher to respond to a worry or concern that you may have, please email or telephone our school office, and request to speak with the Headteacher, Mrs Muncaster.

We understand however, that there are occasions when people would like to raise their concerns formally. In this case, we will attempt to resolve the issue internally, through the stages outlined within the complaint’s policy above.

In order to resolve your formal complaint it is important that you provide the school with as much information as you can, in writing if possible. Therefore, if appropriate please complete the complaint form from within the complaints procedure policy.

Please mark your complaint ‘private & confidential’ and for the attention of the appropriate person. If you wish to complain to the Headteacher or Chair of Governors please refer to the complaint’s policy, and make contact via our school office.
